Hamburg Pride is working to bring visibility, resources and education to our community so people can love, respect and support all of our neighbors regardless of race, gender, etc.
Hamburg Pride has an all-inclusive board, and currently we have relationships with organizations such as GLYS WNY, Pride Center, etc. and are hoping that those relationships will help to create a location in the Southdowns' so that we become a resource and safe space as well.
Becoming a resource for local LGBTQ people, families, friends, teachers and community members is an important way to make things safer for ourselves and those we love by finding ways to educate and create more visibility.
Hamburg Pride in the Park is a day to celebrate. Held in the heart of the Village at Memorial Park, it began in 2021 and continues to grow each year. Pride in the Park was created with Town Councilwoman Karen Hoak, members of Hamburg Coalition for Equity and Inclusion (HCEI), Rev. Susan Frawley of the UU Church in Hamburg, along with countless volunteers. Their efforts brought visibility and support to LGBTQ people.
